We will be joined by City of Santa Monica’s Mobility Manager Francie Stefan and members of her department to get updates on the #GoSaMo Campaign and why it is important for pedestrians and bikes, staff changes and welcome new staff, projects like Safe Routes to School and why #GoSaMo is important for pedestrians and bikes and healthy active transportation!

Update on Breeze Bike share. We will be recruiting volunteers for our Breeze Outreach Team and diversity campaign. Kyle Kozar, The City’s Bike Share coordinator will join us for updates

Like biking or how what we choose as our transportation choice…:
Our food choices are deeply connected to climate change. Food will play a critical role in the next frontier of our efforts to solve the environmental crisis. Join us to celebrate the release of Unbroken Ground, a compelling new film by Chris Malloy that explores four areas of agriculture that aim to change our relationship to the land and oceans.

Following the 25-minute film, hear from a panel of speakers and taste Patagonia Provisions’ organic food sourced from our partners featured in the film. Visit Patagonia Provisions to learn more about the food we offer and what makes us different.

GROUP RIDE TO THE MOVIE / EVENT

We will meet at the by the Breeze Station at the Expo Terminus Station – NORTH SIDE near 5th & Colorado.
Come by EXPO, ride your bike or pick up a BREEZE Bikeshare. 

We meet at 6:30 ROLL at 6:45  – Doors 7:00 PM, Film 7:30 PM

Community Bike Ride with Breeze Bike Share!

Saturday, July 23rd, 10am – noon

Breeze SM Community Ride is a monthly group ride for current and prospective Breeze members. The ride meets at 1640 5th Street just south of the 4/5th Street Expo Terminus. This month we’ll explore the benefits of the new rate structure along with Santa Monica’s growing bike network, connections to transit and MORE!

We highlight our local bike friendly businesses and attractions, additionally we’ll learn helpful tips on how to use the Breeze bike share system, including checking out, locking, flexibility of “out of station” and “hold” features, multiple bike check out on one account, and Rules of the Road

Ride Breeze Bike Share or ride your own bike – all are welcome! It promises to be a day of exploration and fun!

On the ride you’ll experience some of Santa Monica amazing bike infrastructure. Surely to be a day of fun and excitement.
Participants’ ride time will be credited FOR THREE HOURS and first time participants can receive a FREE helmet. You must be 16* or over to participate (*under 18 must be accompanied by parent or guardian AND wear a helmet).

Community Bike Ride with Breeze Bike Share!
This month we’ll explore the city & learn about Airport2Park –
Saturday, June 18th, 10am – noon

Breeze SM Community Ride is a monthly group ride for current and prospective Breeze members. The ride meets at 1640 5th Street just south of the 4/5th Street Expo Terminus. This week we’ll explore more of Santa Monica’s bike infrastructure as we point our local bike friendly businesses and attractions. Additionally, we’ll learn helpful tips on how to better use the Breeze bike share system, including checking out, locking, flexibility of “out of station” and “hold” features, multiple bike check out on one account, and Rules of the Road

Learn to Ride Breeze & Community Bike Ride

We are coordinating with local partners for this monthly Learn to #RideBreeze & Community Bike Ride.

Class is FREE and open for all
we invite current & prospective Breeze members.

You’ll learn about and how to use the Breeze bike share system, including checking out, locking, flexibility of “out of station” and “hold” features, multiple bike check out on one account and more! We’ll then take a short tour of Santa Monica bike infrastructure to demonstrate how some of these features work and can be used. You’ll also learn basic bike safety tips and Rules of the Road to help reduce conflicts and keep your rides SAFE & FUN — all while enjoying the community and connecting with Bike Local businesses. Surely to be a day of fun and excitement. At this months event we will visit and get a short tour of the Downtown Farmers Market.
