Community Bike Ride with Breeze Bike Share!
This month we’ll explore the city & learn about Airport2Park –
Saturday, June 18th, 10am – noon

Breeze SM Community Ride is a monthly group ride for current and prospective Breeze members. The ride meets at 1640 5th Street just south of the 4/5th Street Expo Terminus. This week we’ll explore more of Santa Monica’s bike infrastructure as we point our local bike friendly businesses and attractions. Additionally, we’ll learn helpful tips on how to better use the Breeze bike share system, including checking out, locking, flexibility of “out of station” and “hold” features, multiple bike check out on one account, and Rules of the Road

Ride Breeze Bike Share or ride your own bike – all are welcome! It promises to be a day of exploration and fun!

On the ride you’ll experience some of Santa Monica amazing bike infrastructure. Surely to be a day of fun and excitement.

Free Ride Time on BREEZE

In celebration of Bike to Work Day and the Opening of Expo, the City of Santa Monica’s Breeze Bike Share will have FREE RIDE TIME* from Thursday May 19th through Saturday May 21st.

Streetsie Award Party

On Thursday, March 24 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., there will be a party — food and drink! — at Cyclehop’s west coast headquarters to celebrate some of 2015’s Streetsie winners. Assemblymember Richard Bloom, Cyclehop, and Hulu will all be honored at the party for their work in promoting shared streets.

Bloom, both at the state level and through his work on the Santa Monica City Council (1999-2012), has been a champion of sustainable and active transportation. He was also integral in bringing about Breeze Bike Share (operated by Cyclehop), Los Angeles County’s first public bike-share system. Now, Beverly Hills and Long Beach have begun to follow suit, adopting bike-share systems also run by Cyclehop. And Hulu, located in Santa Monica, is helping to support sustainable transportation by generously supporting Breeze Bike Share to the tune of $675,000 a year. Tickets to Thursday’s party are available here. We hope you can make it.

Office of Assemblymember Richard Bloom, would like to invite local advocates to the Streetsie Awards Party & Fundraiser for Santa Monica Next. Bloom’s office has offered to cover the entry for local advocates who may not otherwise be able to afford the ticket price.
Please message if interested.
