Bike Ride with the Mayor: to Climate Fest 2018

May 19, 2018 @ 8:30 am - 9:30 pm

Kick off ClimateFest Santa Monica with a 3-mile bike ride from City Hall with Mayor Ted Winterer and Santa Monica Spoke to the daylong, climate action celebration. The ride will leave from City Hall at 8:30 am, loop through Mid-City Neighborhood to California Ave, and end at St. Monica’s in time for ClimateFest’s Opening Ceremony. Our route is HERE

We will meet at up at 8:15am and plan to leave promptly at 8:30 am, so be on time. Bring your own bike, helmet, lock & water bottle. Children are welcome but should be capable of street riding or in an appropriate child seat or trailer. There is no cost to participate.

About the Mayor’s Ride:
Biking is better with friends! That’s why the Mayor started free monthly community rides in January 2017. If you know how to ride a bike, these events are for you! Come meet the Mayor, City staff, and your neighbors while enjoying the Santa Monica sunshine!

About ClimateFest:
ClimateFest is a free daylong community event that will celebrate and inspire climate action, co-produced by the City of Santa Monica and Climate Action Santa Monica. The Event will include live music and entertainment, speaker panels, hands-on workshops, Electric Vehicles, kids activities, and the Family Bike hub with youth skills course, Cargo Bikes, bike repair and Bike Swap and MORE.
