Conversation with Dutch Students: Urban Cycling Institute, Rotterdam

Are you aware of Dutch bicycling infrastructure and how well it supports everyday bicycling, for people of all ages? Join us as we kick off Bike Month with an evening conversation with this years group of students from the Cycling Institute in Rotterdam. The conversation will include a comparison of traffic law in the Netherlands, and how it’s different from our legal system in the U.S. How not only infrastructure, but Dutch laws support bicycling.

For the 1st of our weekly #HBHH in May we visit a Santa Monica institution and one of the 2018 Most Loved finalist – Enterprise Fish Co

Bike Month Specials at Barburger, Support Santa Monica Spoke!

Bareburger has partnered up with SM Spoke for Bike Month!

– when you order from the SM Spoke exclusive menu during May, $1 of every item sold will be donated to Santa Monica Spoke.
During May Bike Month – show your helmet for
– Bike Week: May 13-19th — Extended Happy Hour until 8 pm when you ride your bike to Bareburger
– Happy Hour all evening on Bike to Work Day, May 17th, when you ride your bike to Bareburger. We’ll be heading over at 7pm for #HBHH in the Patio (we start at a #HBHH at 1212 Santa Monica at 5:30).
– EACH TIME you go to Barebuger in May by bike – receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a VIP Table at one of the Barebuger signature events.
4 prizes will awarded.

Thursday Ride with the Mayor & #HBHH

Hope you can join us April 26th for a Ride with the Mayor, see exciting Safe Streets for 17th Street & Michigan Avenue, and HandleBar Happy Hour at The Curious Palate!
Join us for one or both.

The ride will begin at Colorado Center Park (corner of Broadway and 26th Street) and end at The Curious Palate (395 Santa Monica Place) for our monthly Bike Local – Buy Local Santa Monica HandleBar Happy Hour. Bike Valet parking will be available at the Santa Monica Bike Center (2nd & Colorado) until 8 pm.

Bring your own bike, helmet, lock & water bottle. Children are welcome but should be capable of street riding or in an appropriate child seat or trailer. There is no cost to participate.
No bike? No problem! Just grab a Breeze Bike Share Bike.
