March HandleBar Happy Hour at El Cholo, March 28th

Every month we gather for great fun, beverages and AWESOME company! Come join us – all are welcome!

This month we heading back to El Cholo for our monthly HandleBar Happy Hour! Local Mexican chain serving classic dishes & margaritas in a traditional setting since the 1920s!
They are a Buy Local Business and VOTED MOST LOVED SANTA MONICA RESTAURANT (2018)

We get a special veggie version of the cantina tacos (see HH menu below), as well as extended happy hour pricing for our group until 7:30pm.

The Curious Palate is much more than a place to have a meal. It is a meeting house for coworkers and friends. They’ve got a comfortable dining room and spacious patio on the dining deck of Santa Monica Place. There’s plenty of room for families, dogs, and groups of friends like ours to gather and enjoy great company.

CANCELED DUE TO RAIN: January HandleBar Happy Hour. We are looking forward to scheduling a new date at Rusty’s Surf Ranch on the Santa Monica Pier ASAP!

Enjoy the rain this week but plan to join us next week on Tuesday February 5th for a HandleBar Happy Hour at The Curious Palate as we host a group of Bulgarians visiting Santa Monica. All are welcome!

Join Santa Monica Spoke and the City of Santa Monica Safe Routes to School for the next Kidical Mass Family Bike Ride at a new location and route from Ishihara Park and Community Gardens!  We are excited to be joined by the Santa Monica Community Gardeners with fresh pancakes and tours of the Community Learning Garden. You never know what special guest could join us.
RSVP and arrive to Check-in for your free prize ticket! YEY Prize Drawings!

Pre-ride snacks, fresh pancakes, coffee, and beverages for the kids (Please help us reduce waste and be sustainable, bring your own cups), Helmet Decorating, Prizes, Free Bike Safety Checks provided by Performance Bicycles, & Check in.
Arrive early and don’t miss the FUN!
We return to Ishihara Park for FUN and post-ride snacks.
Valentine themed activity are being planned!


* Children must be accompanied and are the responsibility of their parents. Bikes should be in good working condition. Free Safety Checks on site for minor adjustments/repairs. Please use good judgement – ride is on city streets – smaller children should be in a child seat, in a trailer or Tag-a-long……

Don’t have a Kid Carrying Bike? NOT  A PROBLEM !
Special 20% discount on Rentals at the Santa Monica Bike Center. You can find special Kid carrying cargo bikes, kid seats, trailers, tandems, tag-a-longs!! Anything you could need at a 20% discount for rentals) – Please reserve online and write “Kidical Mass” in the special requirements section of the reservation – 20% discount will be applied at check out! Reserve early and plan to pick up bikes Saturday morning in time to arrive at the event.
