Breeze Bike Share launched November 12th, 2015 – Come celebrate 1 year of Breeze, LA County’s 1st Bike Share on a Fun, casual bike tour around Santa Monica followed by an Open House Handlebar Happy Hour at Breeze HQ!

To help us all celebrate the one year anniversary, ride time on Breeze Bikes will be free* all day Saturday November 12th.

Breeze Bike Share launched November 12th, 2015 – Come celebrate 1 year of Breeze Bike Share with a Fun Community Ride and an Open House Handlebar Happy Hour at Breeze HQ! To help us all celebrate the one year anniversary, ride time on Breeze Bikes will be free* all day Saturday November 12th.

Join us on a community ride around Santa Monica, experience our cool bike network of buffered and green bike lanes with great company! We will end the ride at Breeze HQ with Handlebar Happy Hour refreshments. Come check out the facility, meet the crew, and celebrate Breeze!  Always family Friendly!

When:   2:00 pm meet , 2:30 pm roll out
Where:  Ride Leaves from 17th Street Expo Station

Open House: Handlebar Happy Hour

Ride time on Breeze Bikes will be free* all day Saturday, November 12th.

  • Monthly, Annual, and Student members will not be charged for riding over their daily ride time amount.
  • Pay-as-you-go members will not be charged for their ride time.

A free day-long fun and stirring event–the Community Climate Action Summit: Santa Monica is developing the City’s next Climate Action & Adaptation Plan, and they want you to be a part of the process. This action plan will reduce greenhouse gas emissions, helping us become a resilient, carbon neutral community and prepare for climate change impacts.  Join us for any or all of a great day!

We will be joined by City of Santa Monica’s Mobility Manager Francie Stefan and members of her department to get updates on the #GoSaMo Campaign and why it is important for pedestrians and bikes, staff changes and welcome new staff, projects like Safe Routes to School and why #GoSaMo is important for pedestrians and bikes and healthy active transportation!

Update on Breeze Bike share. We will be recruiting volunteers for our Breeze Outreach Team and diversity campaign. Kyle Kozar, The City’s Bike Share coordinator will join us for updates

Community Bike Ride with Breeze Bike Share!

Saturday, July 23rd, 10am – noon

Breeze SM Community Ride is a group ride for current and prospective Breeze members. The ride meets at 1640 5th Street just south of the 4/5th Street Expo Terminus. This month we’ll explore the benefits of the new rate structure along with Santa Monica’s growing bike network, connections to transit and MORE!

We highlight our local bike friendly businesses and attractions, additionally we’ll learn helpful tips on how to use the Breeze bike share system, including checking out, locking, flexibility of “out of station” and “hold” features, multiple bike check out on one account, and Rules of the Road

Ride Breeze Bike Share or ride your own bike – all are welcome! It promises to be a day of exploration and fun!

On the ride you’ll experience some of Santa Monica amazing bike infrastructure. Surely to be a day of fun and excitement.
Participants’ ride time will be credited FOR THREE HOURS and first time participants can receive a FREE helmet. You must be 16* or over to participate (*under 18 must be accompanied by parent or guardian AND wear a helmet).
