Real-Time Bike Information Hits Main Street Wednesday December 20th, 2016
New bike counter will track bikers as they pass City Hall
north and southbound
SANTA MONICA, Calif. – A real-time bike counter is being installed on Main Street in front of City Hall this week to better understand the number of people getting around the city on bike while also displaying to bikers that their choice to bike counts! The counter is connected to sensors in the green lanes on Main Street, both northbound and southbound. This fun visual feedback encourages cycling and is part of the GoSaMo campaign to equip, excite, and inform everyone of new mobility options.
