For the summer of 2015, the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition is offering a series of FREE Bicycle Safety Classes in Santa Monica and throughout Los Angeles County. Funding for this program is provided by Metro through a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Three different classes are being offered:
- Basic Bicycling Skills
- Street Cycling Skills (classroom) – Session A
- Street Cycling Skills (on bike) – Session B
All classes are taught by trained League Cycling Instructors (LCIs). The classes are open for adults and youth who are at least 14 years of age. Minors must be accompanied by their parent or an adult guardian.
