The new Regional Transportation Plan affecting 18 million people over 24 years, has only 1.3% of the budget dedicated for “Active Transportation.” With 25% of traffic casualties being bicycles and pedestrians – the L.A. Public Health Department is recommending closer to 8% for meaningful change.
