Public workshops for PCH Bike Route Improvement Project in Malibu

I am happy to announce that the City of Malibu is moving forward with the public workshops for the Pacific Coast Highway Bike Route Improvements Project.

Please see the flyer for the first public workshops.  They are hoping to get input from a large number of stakeholders.  Help spread the word by publicizing the workshops.  If possible, please distribute the flyer and meeting information to others in the bike community who be interested and give input on the project in this important local corridor.

Library Alehouse hosts StreetsBlog, March 27

…And You Can Win a Flying Pigeon Road Bike

The bike looks like this, without the basket

On March 27, the Library Alehouse will sponsor another all day fundraiser for Los Angeles Streetsblog.  10% of all proceeds from the restaurant and bar will go to Streetsblog.  If supporting Streetsblog and getting a good meal isn’t enough incentive, The Alehouse will also be tapping some specialty kegs of Deschutes Beer: Abyss 2011, Black Butte XXIII and The Stoic.

Streetsblog will also be holding a pair of raffles throughout the day on the 27th.  One raffle will be for a Flying Pigeon road bike (on the right) and the other will be for a series of rewards including LACBC bike jerseys, a box of KIND bars, a schwag bag from New Belgium Brewing, and shirts from CICLE.

So make your plans for lunch or dinner in Santa Monica on 3/27.  Damien will be the one in a silver Streetsblog shirt and a chalice of Abyss 2011.  They’ll continue to updating as they get more raffle sponsors, but in the meantime feel free to visit the Facebook page for more information as it breaks.

Don’t miss it – you can park in one of the snazzy new bike corrals on Main Street!

Thanks to our other raffle sponsors:
